After birth
After birth
Physical therapy for the weeks and months after a birth, whether vaginal or by cesarean. We look at your pelvic floor, your core, your scar if you have one, and a plan for returning to what you do.
This care is for you if
You had a baby and want a plan for returning to exercise
You leak when you cough, laugh or run, or you rush to the bathroom
Your core or back feels different, and you are not sure what is normal
Sitting, lifting or carrying your baby is uncomfortable
You want to talk about sex and your body after birth

What a visit looks like
What we do
Your therapist asks about your birth, your recovery and your days at home, looks at how you breathe and move, and teaches you what to practice. A scar check or an internal exam is always your choice, and we ask first.
What decides how many visits
How your recovery is going, what your therapist finds and what you want to get back to. Your therapist talks it through with you and checks in as you go.
How it is paid for
You pay us directly. We send a written estimate before your first visit.
How fees work
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.
Questions about this care
How soon after birth can I come?
Many people come around the time their provider checks in, and some come sooner. Tell us when you gave birth and what your provider said, and we plan around it.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes. Bring your baby, and anything you need to feed or settle them. If your baby needs you, we pause and wait.
Do I need a referral?
In Idaho, you can start without a referral. Your plan may still ask for one.
Book a first visit
On video or in our room. Tell us what is on your mind when we talk. We do not ask for it in the form.
